What SIFT. is
SIFT. is a Chrome extension that helps you score, rank, and compare UK property listings from Rightmove. It is operated by Callum Abbott (“we”, “us”).
Data we collect from Rightmove
When you add a property to your shortlist, SIFT. extracts publicly available listing information from the Rightmove page you are viewing:
- Price, address, and postcode
- Bedrooms, bathrooms, property type, and floor area
- Tenure, service charge, ground rent, and council tax band
- EPC rating and listing dates
- Property description and image URLs
We do not collect personal information about estate agents, sellers, or any other individuals from listing pages.
Where your data is stored
By default, all property data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing leaves your machine unless you choose to sign in.
If you sign in with Google, your shortlist is synced to our database (hosted on Supabase) so you can access it across devices. Sync is incremental — only changed properties are transmitted.
Account and authentication
SIFT. uses Google OAuth to sign you in. We receive your email address and display name from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Authentication tokens are stored in Chrome’s extension storage, which is encrypted and scoped to the extension.
Payments
Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your plan. We never see or store your card details — those are handled entirely by Stripe.
Analytics
We use PostHog (EU-hosted) to collect anonymous usage events such as “property saved” or “dashboard opened”. These events are tied to a random anonymous ID, not your email or Google account.
We do not use cookies. We do not run ads. We do not sell your data.

Data retention and deletion
Local data is stored until you clear your browser data or uninstall the extension. Synced data is stored on Supabase until you delete it.
You can delete individual properties from your shortlist at any time. Deleting a property removes it from both local storage and Supabase.

Children
SIFT. is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
